British footwear brand Church’s has launched its Off-White capsule collection, designed by Virgil Abloh himself.
The genderless collection debuted at Off-White’s “Spaceship Earth: An Imaginary Experience” show during Paris Fashion Week, combining Abloh’s philosophy of “questioning everything” with the artisanal heritage and style history of Church’s footwear. with the artisanal heritage and stylistic history of Church shoes.
The first drop is a “reworking” of a classic, as Burwood x Off-White gives Church’s historic Burwood Oxford brogue (dating back to 1953) a modern twist with a unique new dovetail pattern.
Black brushed calfskin replaces the shoe’s traditional brown suede upper, and the exterior is adorned with Off-White’s signature script of “Special Events” screen-printed in white, while the trademark Off-White hangtag underscores the style’s common origins.
The Burwood x Off-White is the first of two offerings and is available now at Off-White stores, Church stores, the Church online store and Farfetch for £950.
